Kwara State government said on Friday there is no confirmed or suspected case of Coronavirus anywhere in the state at the moment.

The state Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Bisola Fatimah Ahmed, who disclosed this in a statement in Ilorin, cautioned the people on the spreading of unverified information in the state.

She insisted that all public and private secondary and primary schools in the state would be closed indefinitely as from Monday.

The statement read: “The state government wishes to affirm that Kwara has no confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 as at this moment. The government is nonetheless putting in place all measures to keep the people safe at all times.”
