Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has warned his players not to be merciful to the Pharaohs of Egypt when both team clash despite today being “Good Friday”.

Siasia, who said the Eagles are also in Easter mood, will not take any chances against the visitors who top Group G with six points, two points ahead of Nigeria and Tanzania.

“We are in Easter mood but no Good Friday for the Egyptians. We have been working hard, talking to ourselves and strategizing. I can tell you we are ready and we have done enough to get the three full points.

“The players are also fired up for this and so I am confident Nigerians will smile after the match today,” he said.

Siasia added that with total dedication, the Eagles will triumph today.

“So, we need to do what we are supposed to do. We need to play to instructions. We know where we are coming from. We don’t need to know too much about the Egyptians, we need to know more and work more on ourselves.

“We need to create chances and score goals. We want to make Nigerians proud. This is a new Super Eagles team.

“I know how much you people feel about the other Super Eagles team. Trust me; these guys are ready to play for us. Let just give them the confidence and the support they need to make sure we carry the day.”
