The Boko Haram terrorist group has released a new video where it stated that it would not surrender, nor will it take part in any negotiation to end their menace.

The group in the new video released on Friday on social media video viewing platform, Youtube, said that the “This war between us will not stop.”

The video featured about nine masked figures in a desert location, and it unclear if its Nigerian leader, Abubakar Shekau was among the men in masks.

The group boosted, in Hausa that “You should know that there is no truce, there is no negotiations, there is no surrender”.

It would be recalled that Shekau who had not made any public appearance in more than a year, appeared in a recent video, looking frail and devoid of his former boisterous mannerism.

The Nigerian military on its part had recorded several successes against the terror group, rounding up many of its members, and clearing some of its known camps.

This has prompted speculation in many quarters that the Islamist group may be on the verge of collapse in the face of a sustained military counter-insurgency.
