IMO: After much anticipation Okorocha's son-in-law leaves APC for AA

A former Imo Chief of Staff and governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in the State in the last election, Uche Nwosu, on Friday said that what President Muhammadu Buhari needed was support and not ‘RevolutionNow’ or protest of any kind.

Nwosu, who said that the “RevolutionNow” protest was capable of causing uncontrollable crisis in Nigeria, added that no one can honestly say that Buhari since coming on board as President has not impacted positively on the economy and security of the country.

Nwosu spoke in Abuja when newsmen engaged him on questions bothering on the protest organised by Omoyele Sowore, a journalist and presidential candidate of African Alliance Congress (AAC).

He said, “Revolution is not good for the country. What we need is to support the President.

“What revolution are you talking about, revolution where? Do they understand what revolution is all about; do they understand the implication of revolution; do they understand the outcome.

“Revolution is not what the country needs at this time. What we need is to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Whatever you think would contribute to the development of the country, why don’t you put it down and present it to the President and they will add it up to whatever they have and the country would move forward.”

He went further to say anybody that “thinks there is a place the present administration has not done well” should rather suggest what should be the way forward, than embark on protest.

He added, “I think it is a bad advice for anybody to give anybody to go on this protest or this thing call revolution. It is not the best thing for us now.

“No one can sincerely say that the President has not impacted positively to the economy and security of the country since he came on board.”

Nwosu is also a son-in-law to former Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha.

His father-in-law, Okorocha, was said to have made all possible efforts to have Nwosu as his successor during the last election but failed.
