Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee Chairman on Information, Gboyega Aribisogan, has said there was no plan to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose by the lawmakers.

This is as he discredited the rumour making round in the state that some perceived enemies of Governor Fayose within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were ganging up to remove him.

Aribisogan stated this when he addressed newsmen at a press conference in the state, adding that those going about with the rumour were only trying to divide the Assembly as well as scheming for the 2019 elections.

The Deputy Speaker Segun Adewumi and Aribisogan is said to have escaped impeachment by whiskers last Tuesday on accusation that they have been  for allegedly fraternising with Senator Buruji Kashamu, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters and Femi Falana, SAN.
