Nollywood ‘clown’ Dede One Day gives in to HBP on stage

The Nigerian movie industry dubbed Nollywood has been thrown into another round of mourning following the death of comic actor, Dede One Day.

Reports say the spontaneous thespian cum comedian died on stage of high blood pressure while anchoring an event in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

Impeccable sources revealed that the actor had been suffering of the illness for a long time owing to his recent loss of weight and worrying frail nature.

According to eyewitnesses, Dede anchored an event on Sunday December 13 in Aba, Abia State after which he embarked on a trip to anchor another event in Ugwunagbo where he was to work as a compere but unfortunately slumped some minutes after he mounted the stage and efforts to revive him proved ineffective.

The actor gave up the ghost some minutes after arriving a nearby hospital in the early hours of Monday morning to the dismay of his friends and loved ones.

Dede came to limelight through a show tagged ‘Comedy Like Laugh With Me’ some years ago before venturing into moviedom where he got more fame and recognition.

He was regarded by many as one of the clowns of Nollywood who brought laughter to movie lovers.
