FIRS boss reveals how multinationals cheat Nigeria of N3.7tn annually

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) said Saturday none of its staff tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The FIRS said in a statement signed by its Director of Communications and Liaison Department, Abdullahi Ahmad that a member of staff, who went to pick his wife from the airport following her return from a trip abroad, had been on self-isolation alongside his spouse at their home since Monday.

The service insisted that the couple had not tested positive for COVID-19.

The FIRS said all its offices nationwide had before now taken necessary precautions to protect both staff and taxpayers from COVID-19.

The statement read: “The Service hereby states unequivocally that no member of staff at the FIRS has tested positive to COVID-19 as being peddled on Social Media.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to discountenance the claim that a FIRS official has tested positive FOR COVID-19.”
