North Korea dares Trump, World Powers, fires ballistic missile

The government of North Korea is testing the resolve of newly sworn-in US President and by extension other World Powers after it fired a ballistic missile in a move seen by many as an apparent provocation.

Moments after the missile was launched, US and South Korean officials condemn the launch and agreed to explore ways to suppress “North Korean provocations”.

Reports also revealed that Pyongyang got a call from the US National Security Advisor Michael Flynn who requested a call with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un after the missile was test-fired on Saturday.

Trump on Saturday assured Japan it has the full support of the United States following the missile launch.

“I just want everybody to understand and fully know that the United States of America stands behind Japan, its great ally, 100 percent,” Trump said at a joint news conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
