Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has asked the southerners to jettison any hope of producing the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
The former minister said that only a “fool” would believe that the North would allow power to return to the South in 2023.
He claimed that the North had concluded plans not to allow the southerners mount the office of the president of Nigeria until after 20 years.
According to Fani-Kayode, after President Muhammadu Buhari’s remaining four-year term, the North-East would produce the next president, who would reign for eight years. He said after that, the North Central will take over and rule for another eight years before the North would allow power to get to the South again.
He stated this in a post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
He wrote, “Hear this and hear it well. Anyone that believes that a southerner will be President in 2023 is a fool. The north has already decided to keep power for the next 20 years and sadly there is NOTHING we can do about it. The only hope for the south is restructuring or separation.
“BREAKDOWN: NW 4 years + NE 8 years + NC 8 years. Total = 20 years.
“20 years of northern rule! Enjoy it!”
