For not reading his books, Japanese father stabs son to death

A Japanese father has stabbed his 12-year-old son to death for not reading his books for an upcoming exam.
Reports say the father Kengo Satake stabbed his son Ryota, an elementary school student, in the chest with a kitchen knife at their home in Nagoya and hours later his son was declared dead due to loss of blood.

“I stabbed him as he did not study,” the 48-year-old father told police. Satake had reportedly wanted his son to pass an entrance examination for the same private junior high school in Nagoya from which he had graduated.
