Suicide bombers kill 11, injure 21 in Maiduguri attacks

The Boko Haram terror sect has claimed responsibility for the Wednesday attack on Maiduguri.

The sect’s leader, Abubakar Shekau who spoke in a new video boasted that fight to impose Islamic rule on Nigeria would be a never ending one, as the sect members’ children would continue it for generations to come.

Shekau, who the military claimed it had killed, or seriously wounded on several occasions, laughed at the military for claiming it had displaced the sect from the Sambisa Forest.

He said that the military was wasting its time in Sambisa Forest while they (Boko Haram) are in Maiduguri, launching out attacks.

According to him, his faction was not in any dialogue with the Fedral Government to end the attacks, as they would continue until the Nigerian government accepts Islam and repent from its ‘evil ways’.

Shekau who spoke in Hausa in the video uploaded on YouTube, displayed arms and ammunition it supposedly captures during its attack on a military post in Maiduguri, even as he claimed that the military personal at the post fled on sighting the sect members advancing on them.

He also said that the war has just started, adding that the Nigerian government was deceiving the world that it had defeated the sect.

A recent attack by Boko Haram in an attempt to capture Jiddari Polo community in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, was repelled by troops of the Nigerian Army.

Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, had stated after the attack, that most of the terrorist who launched the attack have been killed after troops repelled their invasion.

Meanwhile, residents of Jiddari Polo have reportedly fled their homes to neighbouring communities following the attack by the terrorists whose number initially overwhelmed the villagers.

Brig. Gen. Usman said “They (insurgents) fled back when the military aircraft came hovering over the area. The situation was bad as you can still see bullets all over the streets.

“The general public is requested not to panic and stay calm,” he added.

You are a naive somebody. So you think shekau is not dead? Shekau is a title in Boko Haram, the first shekau is dead for long but the terrorist sect decided to deceive us by always showing his videos using another person called by his name to talk. If you discover the video of the then shekau and the current one, you will see some animation effects to tell confirm what I am telling you.
