Oliseh helps Dutch club Sittard avoid relegation

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has hailed the performance of the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Eagles defeated the Indomitable Lions 3-2 in a thrilling knockout clash which saw two stunning fight-backs by both sides.

Oliseh, who is a Nations Cup winner, said he admired the mental strenght of the Eagles, who came from 2-1 down at half time to knock the defending champions out of the tournament.

“Super Eagles players show strong mental strength to beat Cameroon and qualify for the Quarter Finals. Now everything is possible! Delighted for the boys,” tweeted Oliseh moments after the game.

Late first-half goals by Stephane Bahoken and Clinton Njie had put defending champions Cameroon ahead of Nigeria, cancelling the 19th-minute opener by Odion Ighalo.

Alex Iwobi then scored the winner of the game in the 66th minute moments after a second goal by Ighalo had scored again to level for Nigeria.

The Eagles will face either hosts Egypt or rivals South Africa in the quarterfinals of the AfCON.
