NPFL: High- riding Rangers beat Enyimba
Rangers of Enugu on Sunday defeated defending champions of the Nigeria Professional football League, Enyimba, 2-1 to maintain their position at the summit of the table.
The leader came from a goal down to avenge last season result when they lost to Enyimba who went on to win the title for a record 7th time.
Afolabi Okiki’s last minute goal gave Sunshine Stars their first victory of the season as they defeat Shooting Stars 2-1 in Akure.

Sunshine took the lead through Dele Olorundare in the sixth minute but were pegged back by Tope Orelope’s volley in the 63rd minute. But with the game heading for a draw, Okiki came up with the winner in additional time of the game.
Rivers United won their first away victory of the season as they compounded Ikorodu United’s woes in a 3-2 victory in Lagos, as El-Kanemi Warriors increased the pressure on coach Kabiru Dogo-led Nasarawa United with a 3-0 defeat of the Solid Miners as Nasarawa United are popularly called.
In some other matches played on Sunday, MFM picked a valuable away point after drawing 1-1 with Plateau United in Jos, while the game between Wikki and Akwa United ended in a goalless draw.
