NPFL: Plateau United remain unbeaten; Enugu Rangers suffer shock defeat

Plateau United picked up an impressive 3-1 away win against Delta Force in their matchday-five encounter at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Sunday.

The former champions remain the only unbeaten club in the current campaign, with 13 points from five games.

Delta Force got ahead in the 38 minute through a Kazie Enyinnaya converted penalty, but the visitors rallied back with goals from Uche Onwuasoanya, Michael Ibeh and Ibrahim Mustapha to win.

At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu Rangers fell to a shock 2-0 defeat to Akwa Starlets, thanks to goals from Femi Ajayi and Isaac George.

Rivers United also recorded an away win of the NPFL matchday-five edging out Warri Wolves 1-0 at the Warri City Stadium. Stephen Gopey netted the winner eight minutes before the break.

Lobi Stars climb to the second position in the table following a 0-0 away draw against FC IfeanyiUbah in Nnewi.

Enyimba moved to third position courtesy of a comfortable 2-0 home win against Adamawa United in Aba.

At the Akwa Ibom International Stadium , Uyo, Akwa United were held to a 1-1 draw by visitors Nasarawa United.
