NPFL: Rangers win as Plateau draw to tally with El-kanemi in points

Champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Enugu Rangers, earned their third win in the current campaign on Wednesday as they defeated visiting third-placed side ABS of Ilorin 1-0.

The only goal of the game was scored by Daniel Etor in the 35th minute.

Elsewhere, league leaders Plateau United, who are just ahead of second-placed El-Kanemi Warriors on goals difference, were held at home to a 0-0 draw by a resilient Lobi Stars.

The draw which leaves Plateau on 21 points, also leaves them on the same point with El-kanemi, who earned a 3-1 home victory against Sunshine Stars at Maiduguri.

In other results of matchday 11, Enyimba were held to a 0-0 draw by 10-man Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Gombe defeated FC IfeanyiUbah 2-0, Katsina United beat MFM 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal in favour of the home team, Abia Warriors beat visiting Niger Tornadoes 1-0, while Kano Pillars held Remo Stars to a 1-1 draw in Sagamu.
