Sunshine Stars ended their former coach, Kennedy Boboye, unbeaten runs at home for his new club, Abia Warriors, in a 2-1 victory at the weekend.

The Matchday 19 game saw Sunshine’s Dele Olorundare getting the winner with the last chance of the game after Abia Warriors’ Obinna Eric had earlier cancelled out Rasaq Adegbite’s opener for the visitors.

Despite playing with 10 men, Lobi Stars defeated inform Rivers United 1-0, with Sunday Akleche scoring the only goal of the game in the 67th minute from the penalty spot.

Rivers United failed to capitalise on a last minute penalty given to the team after Lobi’s Moses Bunde handled the ball in the box, but striker Chinonso Okonkwo shot wide.

In other matches, Ikorodu United continued their free fall, losing 3-0 to Wikki Tourists in Bauchi while Warri Wolves defeated El-Kanemi Warriors 3-1.

The game between former champion, Kano Pillars and Plateau United ended goalless.
