Bargain hunting has been a formidable market force this week with investor’s sentiments tilting more towards buying than selling.
Market breadth turned out positive with 24 gainers recorded relative to 12 losers.
The All Share Index (ASI) went up by 1.47% to at 21,384.03 basis points. The market capitalisation climbed up to N11.144 trillion at the end of today’s trade.
Year to date, the index is up by 20.33%.

Dangote Sugar led the flock of advancers today, appreciating by 9.74% to close at N10.70. UBA added up 9.73% to end today’s trade at N6.20. Lasaco went up by 9.52% to N0.23. Cadbury rose to N6.90, notching up 9.52% in the process. Sterling completed the top 5, climbing by 9.45% to N1.39.

Omatek topped the losers’ chart, declining by 8.82% to close at N0.31. Chams shed 8.70% to end today’s trade at N0.21. Unity Bank fell to N0.42, losing 8.70%. Jaiz Bank slumped to N7.84, recording 0.47% depreciation. SAHCO closed at N2, going down by 7.41%.
