NSE: Omoluabi Mortgage tops gainers’ chart as the bourse snaps bearish streak

Omoluabi Mortgage Bank finally topped gainers’ chart after series of large volume trade as the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) returned to positive territory. The All Share Index closed at 26,397.94 basis points, up by 0.12%. Year to date the bourse is down by 16.01%.

Top 5 gainers

Omoluabi Mortgage Bank led the top 5 gainers with a 10% gain to close at N0.55. UAC Properties followed with a 9% gain to close at N1.09. The stock was among largely traded today.

AG Leventis closed at N0.28, gaining 7.69%. UBA closed at N5.85, gaining 2.63%. The tier 1 lender released its Q3 2019 results yesterday.

FBN Holdings rounds up the top 5 gainers with a 1.89% gain to close at N5.40.

Top 5 losers

On the flipside, Union Diagnostics and Clinical Services was the worst performing stock. The stock lost 8.33% to close at N0.22.

Lasaco Assurance closed at N0.26, losing 7.14%. Jaiz Bank had a 6.25% loss to close at N0.45. Access Bank closed at N7.10, losing 3.40%.

Lafarge Africa rounds up the top 5 losers with a 2.97% loss to close at N14.70.

Top 5 trades

Wednesday’s trading session recorded 290.9 million shares valued N2.8 billion exchange hands in 2,668 deals.

Top of the trade is Omoluabi Mortgage Bank with 122.5 million shares valued at N67.4 million traded in 1 deal.

UAC Properties was next with 30.3 million shares valued at N31.8 million traded in 9 deals. Zenith Bank traded 26.8 million shares valued at N460.9 million traded in 427 deals.

GTBank had 18 million shares valued at N475 million traded in 136 deals. FBN Holdings rounds up the top 5 trades by volume with 17.6 million shares valued at N94.2 million traded in 180 deals.
