Despite their defeat to Atletico Madrid in a friendly at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday night, Super Eagles star, Kelechi Nwakali has expressed satisfaction over the performance of the Nigerian team.

Nwakali, who scored the opened the scoring with a screamer, said he did not expect the Eagles to play as good as they did considering the fact that they only camped for three day ahead of the clash.

The Arsenal midfielder also mentioned that it was a thing of joy that he scored for the team on the night – his first goal for Nigeria, and added that the players will collectively work harder and keep pushing until they “get there.”
