'Why Obasanjo can't marry Baba Ijebu now'

Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo, wife of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has stated the real reason she filed a suit at an Ikeja High Court, seeking to stop the May 11 wedding of her son, Olujonwo Obasanjo.

Mrs Obasanjo said she filed the suit to stop the wedding after receiving prophesies and warnings from men of God to the effect that her son should not do or be involved in any elaborate celebration at least for now.

According to Mrs Obasanjo, she received prophesies and warnings from men of God to the effect that Olujonwo, her son who turns 34 on June 1, should not do or be involved in any elaborate celebration before his next birthday.

In the suit filed by her lawyer, Mr. Toyin Olowoyo, Mrs Obasanjo wants her son’s wedding scheduled for May 11 and May 12 to be postponed and preferably fixed for a date after June 1st.

Chief OlusegunObasanjo and the father of the bride, Sir Kessington Adebutu, promoter of Premier Lotto known as Baba Ijebu, are respondents to the suit filed by Mrs Obasanjo seeking a court declaration that as the mother of the groom, she has the rights to take part in the deliberations, decisions and activities leading to the forthcoming ceremony.

The hearing of the suit filed by Mrs Obasanjo has however been fixed for April 10 by Justice Lateefa Okunnu.
