Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has made his first set of appointments, with his former former campaign Director General, Osarodion Ogie, named as the Secretary to the State Government.

Also announced on Monday during a meeting with state’s Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries in Benin, are Taiwo Akerele as Chief of Staff, and John Mayaki as the interim Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

Obaseki, who was sworn in on Saturday, called on civil servants in the state to brace up for maximum productivity, adding that it was satisfying to note that the civil service was one that understood its responsibility as the bedrock of development.
