Odey increases goal tally as MFM keep up Plateau United chase
NPFL leading goal scorer, Stephen Odey, helped his side MFM FC to a crucial win over Katsina United with his goal no. 18 this season.
The game, which was rescheduled from Sunday due to heavy downpour in Lagos, ended 3-2 on Monday in favour of the home side.
League leaders, Plateau United had on Sunday dropped points after an away 0-0 draw with Lobi Stars, which second-placed MFM have taken advantage of.
Goals from Odey and Sikiru Olatunbosun put MFM ahead in the first half of the game.

Kastina’s Destiny Ashadi and Obinna Eleje later scored to draw level, before Chukwuka Onuwa scored the third to hand MFM the win.
The win takes MFM to 52 points, just three points adrift of Plateau United (at 55 points) with seven matches left.
