Ogu wins Israeli league

Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu, has won the Israeli league championship with Hapoel Be’er Sheva after they defeated Bnei Sakhin 3-1 on the final day of the season at the weekend.

Ogu, who was voted the best foreign player in the League last week, expressed joy for winning his first-ever title as a professional.

“We are champions and God is the greatest. I dedicate it to everyone who has supported me from my first day in football. God bless you all,” Ogu wrote on his Facebook page.

The midfielder also won the best foreign player of the year in Israel and Ogu who previously played in Spain and Portugal, is still in the race for the player of the year award in Israel.
