Election into the Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo will hold between January 6 and 9.

The outgoing leadership of the organisation, led by Professor Enwo Gary Igariwey alongside Dr. Joe Nwaorgu, would handover to a new and elected leadership of the organization on January 12. Already, the organisation’s inner caucus (Imeobi) which met last week, has ratified the election time table released by the Ohanaeze electoral committee, chaired by Professor Anya O. Anya.

New Telegraph learnt yesterday that the election into various local government officials of the organisation in the respective councils across the South- East zone and the Igbo speaking tribes of Rivers and Delta states will commence on Friday, January 6.

The election will be followed by the state elections on January 7 while the national election to produce the President General and other members of the National executive of Ohanaeze Ndigbo will hold on January 9 at the National Secretariat of the organization located at 7 Parks Avenue, G.R.A, Enugu.
