Gov Okorocha replies APC over comment he is a bad loser

The governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha who is the senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission as the winner of the Imo West Senatorial election.

Prof Francis Ibeawuchi, Returning Officer, who revealed the results on Monday at the collation centre in Orlu Local Government Area disclosed that a total of 97,762 votes were recorded for Okorocha against his two major contenders.

Also, 63,117 votes were recorded for the first runner up Jones Onyereri of the Peoples Democratic Party while 30,923 votes were recorded for senator Osita Izunaso of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

The outcome of the result however sparked disappointments from PDP supporters who rejected it while celebrations kicked off at the premises of the INEC office.
