Okorocha sacks son-in-law Nwosu

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has sacked his Chief of Staff and son-in-law, Uche Nwosu.

Nwosu was sacked alongside 13 political office holders in the state.

Okorocha has not hidden his preference for Nwosu as his successor, an interest that has been met with widespread resistance, even from within his party and cabinet.

In a statement on Wednesday, Samuel Onwuemeodo, chief press secretary to the governor, said the sacked appointees are seeking elective positions on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
