Olisa Metuh hospitalised

There was a mild scare on Tuesday at the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh fell off a swivel chair as he came into the National Working Committee meeting hall for the inauguration of the caretaker committees of the party in Borno and Kebbi states.

Metuh who came into the hall while the chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff was already seated, went the seat reserved for him but fell to the floor as the chair gave way.

The PDP spokesman remained on the floor for about three minutes before two policemen came to his aid and helped him out of the hall.

According to sources, Metuh had, earlier in the day, complained of waist pain.

The sources also confirmed that he was moved to National Hospital, Abuja, where doctors have placed him on observation.
