The legal representatives of former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, have given the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) 48-hour ultimatum to retract the ‘libellous’ statements made regarding the payment of monies owed the coach

Head of Oliseh’s legal team, Robert Emuekperuo, told footballlive.ng that the team was prepared to serve the football federation a notice demanding that the former employers retract defamatory statements to their client.

The lawyers are also challenging insinuations that the former Eagles captain insulted Nigerians in a recent video rant but which according to them was misinterpreted.

“The integrity of our client is very important to us. For peace and fair play, we decided to give ultimatum. We expect compliance and if not, we will begin proper proceedings,” Emuekperuo said on Monday.

Oliseh resigned his appointment as Super Eagles Head Coach in the early hours of Friday after seven months on the job.
