Saraki must go— Omo-Agege

The Senator-elect for Delta Central senatorial district, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege may be losing his return to the National Assembly as the Benin Division of  the Appeal Court on Friday dismissed an ex parte motion filed against a Federal High Court judgement.

The lower court had in an earlier judgement sacked the Prophet Jones Erue-led faction of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that produced Omo-Agege as the party’s candidate.

Also dismissed was a suit filed by the House of Representatives-elect, Rev Francis Ejiroghene Waive.

The Court headed by Justice Philomena Mbua Ekpe did not only dismiss both applications for lacking in merit but also fined them N300,000 each.

The duo may need to wait for the party at the national level, which is a party to the case, to appeal the judgement.
