Onazi quits bachelorhood, weds in Lagos

Super Eagles of Nigeria‎ and Lazio FC of Italy midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi, on Saturday got married to his long time girlfriend, Sandra Ogunsuyi at the Rubin Gardens in Lekki, Lagos with top echelons from the Nigeria Football Federation and Super Eagles players in attendance.

Six super Eagles stars, Kenneth Omeruo, Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye, Raheem Lawal, SundayMba, Obinna Nsofor and the secretary of the Nigerian Football Federation, Dayo Enebi were part of the groom’s men for the wedding.

Leading the NFF delegation was Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF); Christoper Green, chairman, technical committee of the NFF board; Dayo Enebi, Super Eagles team administrator; Chidi Ngoka, Super Eagles equipment manager; Chike Owakah, Super Eagles assistant equipment manager; and Toyin Ibitoye, Super Eagles media officer.

Other top Super Eagles players in Sylvester Igboun, Ahmed Musa, John Ogu, Elderson Echiejile, Anthony Ujah, were also in attendance.

Onazi, who had his traditional wedding on Thursday 16 June in Benin City, Edo State, had earlier married in a private court wedding at the Ikoyi Registry on December 29, 2015.

“Speaking at the reception, Onazi said, “‎Finally, Sandra is my missing rib; and I am grateful to God for blessing me with her. I thank God for blessing me with the bone of my bone and ‎flesh of my flesh.”
