Ondo APC faction puts secretariat under care of Ogun ‘God of thunder’

A faction of the APC in Ondo state which sacked the chairman Isaac Kekemeke, and locked the secretariat has placed fetish objects at the gate.
They placed fetish objects at the gate symbolizing Ogun, the Yoruba God of Thunder, and vowed that anyone who goes near the premises will be struck down by thunder.
The APC secretariat along Oyemekun Road, Akure, has now been abandoned as both factions have continued to stay away.
While the crisis continues, the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the APC in the state has approached a Federal High Court in Abuja to request an order of interlocutory injunction restraining Mr. Kekemeke from parading himself as the Chairman of the party in the State.
They insist that Kekemeke is no longer the APC Chairman in the State, having been removed from office by two-thirds majority of the SEC members.
The originating summons list, as plaintiffs, Abayomi Adesanya (Publicity Secretary), Olutayo Babalayo (Youth Leader), Daoudu Bolakale (Chairman, Akoko North West) and all members of the SEC.
Meanwhile, there is still confusion as to when the party would hold its primary to pick its candidate for the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Different dates have been put forward by different factions in the party, suggesting that there may be more than one primary, and more than one candidate emerging to represent the party at the polls.
