Ondo former LG chairman assassinated
Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State former chairman, Niyi Pirisola has been assassinated by unknown gunmen.
According to report, he was killed in the early hours of Friday at about 3:00am while returning from a branch of Celestial Church of Christ at Ilutuntun in his hometown by yet to be identified gunmen.
It was learnt that his remains was deposited at the Okitipupa General Hospital, as Police said they have begun investigation into the murder case by interrogating members of his family.
An unconfirmed report claimed that Pirisola’s tenure as local government chairman was marred by violence.
