CANNABIS: NDLEA disowns Akeredolu, destroys 3, 900 hectares in Ondo

The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has frowned at the alleged activities of some policemen in the state, accusing them of collecting bribes from unauthorised vehicles at the state boundaries and allowing them entrance into the state.

The governor made the allegation through his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Dr Doyin Odebowale, who was at the state boundaries on Sunday.

Odebowale told some of the policemen, “You people are supposed to turn back any unauthorised vehicles but you allow them to pass through. You are corrupt. You are not doing your work.”

The head of the police team, Mr Ebisine Amy, however, denied the claim and said that policemen stationed at the state boundaries had been carrying out their duties professionally.
