ONDO GUBER: Abraham's bid to stop Akeredolu in court hits set back

Olusegun Abraham, who lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries to Rotimi Akeredolu, will have to wait till October 28 to see if he will be able to stop Akeredolu as the party’s candidate.

This is as the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday refused the ex parte motion filed by Abraham, praying the court to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from accepting Akeredolu as APC authentic candidate for the coming November 26 governorship election in the state.

But the presiding judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba, declared the matter sensitive in nature and “it will be fair if all parties to the suit are present in court before order is made”.

He then adjourned the case till October 28 for hearing.

Abraham had come second in the controversial Ondo APC September 3 primary election, which outcome has continued to threatened the future of the party.
