OPay introduces USSD Services to facilitate offline banking. Profit mindset or users ease?

The Chinese financial service firm, Opay, on Wednesday announced its launch of USSD service to enhance service delivery.

The mobile payment startup made the announcement through its twitter handle @opay_ng with the claim to run a financial inclusive service.

The new USSD feature will enable users to make transactions without the necessity of internet facilities.

While this is coming as an advancement to the quality of service rendered by the financial service firm, the development passes as another electronic leverage to scoop in profit as a business entity.

Although, a great deal of capital investment must have gone into the integration of the offline USSD feature; critics and business analysts have, however, submitted that the Chinese company is simply harnessing every opportunity to grow its worth and expand its business largesse.
