Opening a nightclub is God’s calling –Julius Agwu

In from Ahmed Boulor . . .

Following an announcement by comedian Julius Agwu over his decision to set up a nightclub for Christians known as ‘Believer’s Lounge’, the stand-up comedian has offered reasons why he is venturing into such a business.

Julius explained that his decision to set up the lounge was not his but as a result of a calling he got from God for Christians to have a platform for them to get to know each other and network.

He was of the opinion that since believers cannot go out to clubs and drink alcohol and indulge in other activities at night, it is pertinent that they have a hangout or watering hole where things are done in moderation to please God.

“It’s God’s calling. God spoke to me to do it. We have unbelievers going to clubs, popping champagne and all that, so we want to have a club where believers can hangout too and pop nonalcoholic drinks. It’s basically an assignment from God. The club is located at Lekki and we are taking it everywhere. God also told me to raise young ambassadors that will fight his battle” he said.

The comedian also informed that the lounge is a non-smoking and non-alcoholic hangout for Christian Faithfull’s which will create an atmosphere for networking and getting to know more about God.
