Opposition calls for Zuma’s impeachment
South African President, Jacob Zuma, may be in for a tough time, as the opposition Democratic Alliance, has said it would take necessary steps to remove him from office.
The DA’s leadership said Friday that it would take the step if parliament fails to do so.

According to the DA, it had started proceedings to impeach Zuma after the country’s highest court ruled on Thursday he had violated the Constitution by ignoring an order to repay some of the state money spent on improvements to his private home.
Jacob Zuma had been under fire after he spent millions of dollars to renovate his personal residence, with a court ruling on Thursday that he had violated the constitution by failing to repay part of the money.
