The Nigerian government has accused the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition political parties (CUPP) of plotting to scuttle 2019 general elections with the use of bandits and Boko Haram terrorists.

Information and Culture Minister, Lai Mohammed, made this claim at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, alleging that the opposition parties have been busy preparing bandits and members of the terrorist group to cause crisis in other to scuttle the elections.

Mohammed listed Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kaduna and Zamfara as states marked for attacks.
