Oprah Winfrey denies being paid $1m to appear at Kamala Harris’s campaign
American host and TV personality Oprah Winfrey has denied receiving the sum of $1 million as a ‘personal fee’ to support Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.
The billionaire media personality denied the claim when she was approached by a reporter for TMZ in quaint Santa Barbara, who quizzed her about the payment.
After working out in Santa Barbara, Oprah was accosted by a reporter who asked her about some trending subjects as she was making her way to her car.

‘Not true’ she said when asked about the alleged payment. ‘‘I was paid nothing. Ever.”
Oprah Winfrey also made it apparent that she had no intention of discussing President-elect Trump’s overwhelming win: “I’m not talking about the election,” she declared.
She was compelled to refute the allegation after the Washington Examiner revealed that Winfrey hosted the event and that Harpo Productions had received $1 million from the Harris campaign on October 15.
