Ortom explains decision to dump APC

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom on Wednesday at a meeting with 13 local government chairmen and 276 councilors of the state hinted on some of the things that eventually led to his final dumping of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the meeting which held at the new banquet hall of Benue State Government House, Makurdi, where the governor also declared his resignation of the APC he said, “The state chapter has continued to launch an attack on me.”

He said the attack was despite the intervention of APC national leadership.

Giving another reason why he had to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) he said, “This morning, I had wanted to go to Abuja to attend the meeting (APC), but some youths in the state refused; they asked me to go back.”
