Oshiomhole’s dishonesty, lying immeasurable, says Ize-Iyamu

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu said on Friday that Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State and his “puppet governorship candidate’’, Godwin Obaseki, have nothing to sell or offer to Edo People.

Ize-Iyamu, the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the forth coming elections, said they have demonstrated this in their campaign in the past few weeks, assuring that the All Progressive Congress (APC) would be rooted out of the state on September 10.

The candidate in a statement by his Campaign Organisation described 0shiomhole as a “cheap, unintelligent liar by relapsing to an awful level during the live telecast of the APC’S rally, when in his attempt to sell his hushed Obaseki to electorates, threw caution to the wind and resorted to name calling.

‘’At campaign rallies in Uromi and other places recently, Oshiomhole again showed his unparalleled and disgraceful skill for lies when he tried unsuccessfully to paint Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu with catalogue of senseless made-up stories. Principal amongst them was that he is not a qualified lawyer’’, the statement added.

‘’He equally lied when he said that Ize-Iyamu did not attend the Nigerian Law School and would want Nigerians to believe that indeed, he never graduated from the Law faculty of the University of Benin.’’

The campaign organisation, which said it would not dignify Oshiomhole’s dishonesty, stated that the sound academic qualifications of the PDP governorship candidate — from primary school to university level, are not in doubt.

The campaign organisation challenged Oshiomhole to equally give details of his birthday and educational qualifications from primary school.

The statement added, ‘’Viewed from the documents he tendered to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) alongside an affidavit before the last Edo State Governorship election, the self-styled comrade-governor claimed to have attended Iyamoh Primary School, Iyamoh, in the then Midwest state from 1957-1962.

‘’However, according to reports at the Edo State Ministry of Education, the same Iyamoh Primary School was founded in 1976, — about 14 years after the so called comrade governor supposedly graduated from it.

‘’Though the name on the primary and secondary school certificates simply bore Adams Aliu, and then his claimed Ahmadu Bello University Adult Education certificate (1973-74) (also submitted to INEC) bore Adams O. Aliyu, while subsequent certificates bore his current name Adams Aliyu or Aliu Oshiomhole.

‘’The governor also wrote in the affidavit that he attended Iyamoh Primary School, but did not tender a certificate from the school or the education board to confirm attendance and graduation.’’
