Oshoala continues to impress at Barcelona, hits brace in 3-2 defeat

Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has continued her impressive start with Barcelona Ladies in the Spanish Women’s League.

The 24-year old scored twice in her first start for FC Barcelona Women who lost 3-2 at home to against Recreativo Huelva game on Wednesday.

Oshoala, who joined Barcelona for the remainder of the 2018/19 season from Dalian Quanjian FC of China opened scoring for her side after 16 minutes to hand her side the lead into the break.

In the second half, Huelva scored three goals in just nine minutes through Raquel, Anita and Flor.

Oshoala then pulled one back for the visitors in the 84th minute to end the game at 3-2.

The strike took Oshoala’s tally to three in two games for Barcelona, as she opened her goal account in her debut match which she played as a substitute.

Oshoala was also shown a yellow card in the game.

The defeat was the first for Barça this season in the League, and it also ended a four game winning streak.
