Oshoala wins second Chinese Women’s League title with Dalian Quanjian

Asisat Oshoala has won her second Chinese Women’s Premier League title with Dalian Quanjian.

The reigning African women’s player of the year joined the club from Arsenal Ladies in February 2017 and won the league title in her first season.

Dalian Quanjian made it three triumphs in a row, following a O-0 away draw against Jiangsu on Saturday.

Dalian top the standings with 32 points after securing the needed point from their remaining two games to confirm the title, as their closest challengers, Jiangsu and Changchun who occupy second and third place positions respectively have 28 points each.

Oshoala, Super Falcons striker and former Liverpool Ladies star, took to her Twitter handle to celebrate her team’s triumph.

“Allah Promised and He delivered….Twice in a row #Alhamdulilah #DalianQuanjian ???????????,” she wrote.

The 24-year old is expected to the lead the attack of Thomas Dennerby’s ladies when they file out for the forthcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana from November 17.
