Osimhen set to join Galatasaray on loan

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is set to join Turkish Super Lig champions, Galatasaray on loan.

Osimhen had to settle for a loan move after transfer to English Premier League side Chelsea or Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli failed on transfer deadline day.

Galatasaray have now reached agreement with Napoli for the loan signing of the Nigeria international.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Nigeria international will spend the entire 2024/25 season with the Turkish giants.

Galatasaray will cover the striker’s entire salary until the end of the season.

The loan deal agreed with Napoli does not include a buy option and obligation clause.

The 25-year-old will be reunited with former Partenopei teammate Dries Mertens in Istanbul.

Joining Galatasaray means Osimhen will be able to compete in the Europa League, who will face Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax in the tournament.
