Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has assured that the much expected assent of President Muhammadu Buhari on the 2016 budget will take place this week.
The Vice President stated this on Saturday, adding that the signing of the document would kick-start the implementation of the change agenda of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to him, this would include  completing all social projects that were abandoned by the last government.
Osinbajo spoke at The Platform, a programme, in Abuja, adding that the completion of  power projects would be a priority and that current challenges facing Nigerians are “temporal and resolvable”.
He also acknowledged the mixed feelings Nigerians are expressing over the readiness or ability of the Buhari administration to deliver on the change it promised.
However, former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, who also spoke at the event, has picked holes in the economic policies of the Buhari administration, insisting that  they were ineffective and taking the nation backwards.
