Osinbajo denies he, Amaechi visited Obasanjo in Ota

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied that he along the Minister of Transport and Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, visited former president Olusegun Obasanjo at his Ota home in Ogun State.

The duo were said to have made the visit last Tuesday and had a closed-door meeting with Obasanjo hours before the Book Launch of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on the same day.

Pictures of the said meeting were later circulated online.

But in a tweet by his Senior Special Assistant, Laolu Akande, Osinbajo denied he travelled to Ogun along with the Minister of Transport to visit Obasanjo.

He said he only coincidentally met Obasanjo at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

The tweet read, “Ignore reports VP Osinbajo alongside Minister Amaechi held meeting with former President Obasanjo in Ota.
