Osinbajo raises hope on prosecution of Babachir Lawal, Ayodele Oke

Reports have emerged that a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, caught in a grass-cutting scandal in 2017 would soon be prosecuted.

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo who disclosed this at a Lagos dialogue, organized by Christian youth affiliated to the GRILL, Ikeja Branch, said a former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayodele Oke would also be prosecuted alongside.

Osinbajo said, “The president has directed that the SGF and former DG of NIA should be prosecuted.

“We are expecting that prosecution will take place.

“The next of course is that criminal allegations will be filed against them and the prosecution process will be completed,” he noted.
