Osinbajo meets with govs on how to end herdsmen killings

The Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is to sign the 2017 appropriation bill recently passed by both chambers of the National Assembly tomorrow( Thursday).

It was gathered that Osinbajo may sign the 2017 Budget into law 9:00am at the Presidential Villa, and that invitations have been sent out to the Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara to witness the event.
Representatives of the presidency were said to have met with the leadership of the National Assembly where they concluded issue on the matter.
There were earlier controversies over who, between ailing President Muhammadu Buhari who is on medical leave in the United Kingdom and Acting President Osinbajo, would sign the 2017 budget into law.
The matter was however laid to rest after the bill of N7.44 trillion was transmitted to Osinbajo.
It took the National Assembly about six months to pass the Appropriation bill which was submitted to its joint session by President Buhari.
From N7.30trillion submitted by the president, both chambers of the National Assembly raised the figure to N7.44 trillion.

    My Prof and Pastor is now fully in charge. He is making history, first time, a vice president acting for the president will be signing budget into law. Good one. Wish Buhari quick recovery anyway.

    It’s half of the year and the budget that’s supposed to run for the whole year is just going to be signed tomorrow, is this an achievement on the part of the government or failure on the part of the government? It’s shameful

      It is actually very embarrassing, there’s nothing worth celebrating in this. I hope Osinbajo will did the right thing by rejecting the budget because of the additional money added to suit the red chamber. The budget is late already, it is better to fix all inadequacies once and for all

        What nonsense are you saying? The little adjustment made by the senate was necessary and at the house’s discretion. Osinbajo ha she no choice than to sign the budget as it is.
