Osun discharges another COVID-19 patient

The Osun State Government on Saturday announced the discharge of another COVID-19 patient from one of the isolation and treatment centres in the state.

With the discharge of the patient, 19 confirmed positive cases in the state have been treated and discharged, leaving just one confirmed case out of the 20 ao far recorded in the state.

The State Commissioner for Health, Rafiu Isamotu disclosed this on Saturday in Osogbo, adding that the patient was one of the two left receiving treatment at Asubiaro in Osogbo, the state capital.

He said: “This afternoon, another COVID-19 patient was released from our Isolation centre, having fully recovered and tested negative twice for the virus, in compliance with the NCDC protocol.

“Let me on behalf of Mr Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, appeal to our people to continue to comply with the sit-at-home order & observe basic personal hygiene habits. Collectively, we shall eradicate Coronavirus in our dear State. Kudos to my colleagues in the health sector for their service to the State.”
