Oyo confirms discharge of three COVID-19 patients

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Friday confirmed the discharge of three coronavirus patients in the state.

With this development, five out of the 11 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Oyo State have been discharged after they were given a clean bill of health by medical practitioners.

The governor, who also came out of isolation for coronavirus at the weekend, said on his Twitter handle that the patients were discharged after testing negative for the disease twice.

He said: ”Yesterday (Thursday), three confirmed COVID-19 patients were discharged after receiving their second negative test results. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to five. So, there are currently six active cases.”
